In the United States, prisons play a role in homegrown terror cells, according to experts. The phenomenon of converting inmates to radical brands of Islam was documented in 2004, when a Justice Department investigation concluded that Al-Qaida was recruiting prison inmates. The investigation found that safeguards at more than 100 federal prisons were too loose, causing chapels there to be vulnerable to infiltration by religious extremists.

The extreme right-wing Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ) bashed Israel in a tabloid newspaper advertisement on Sunday, prompting Social Democratic Chancellor Werner Faymann to term the party anti-Semitic for targeting the Jewish state ahead of June 7′s European Union election.
The debate over the ad in the mass circulation Kronen Zeitung erupted in the Austrian media in raucous, dueling exchanges between Faymann and the Freedom Party, whose leader, Heinz-Christian Strache, took part in paramilitary activities with neo-Nazis in the late 1980s and has been known to use the Nazi salute.
Ezekiel pantomimes a prophecy to the nation of Israel regarding King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and the subsequent captivity. This chapter discusses the 390 days and its significance and application. Also the proof of the 606 BC date that is not normally accepted.
Matthew 24 is called the “Lord’s Great Prophecy.” The chapter is jam packed with pertinent prophetic information for the Christian living in our day. His disciples asked him, what would be the sign of his coming [parousia--presence], and the end of the age. The answer he gives is far deeper and broader than even they could understand.
Chapter 39 begins with wording that is similar to Chapter 38. Ezekiel was told to prophesy against “Gog, the chief prince [or ringleader] of Meshech [Moscow] and Tubal [Leningrad].” Other Scriptures describe the areas and cities of the invading host, Gog, and their movement. Gog will be involved with the Plain of Esdraelon and will go down into the Valley of Jehoshaphat. From the north, Gog will follow the path of least resistance down to Israel and inundate the land. Another Scripture describes the terminal end of the Valley of Jehoshaphat. It is one thing how the Gog forces come down and another thing how they end up. There was a mass burial in the days of King Jehoshaphat. God fought that battle and the people sang, not using their weapons. They came upon mass dead bodies and despoliation (2 Chron. 20:20–30). The Valley of Ziz (verse 16), that is, the Valley of Berachah (verse 26), nicknamed the Valley of Jehoshaphat, refers to that incident. In a similar fashion, God will deal with Gog but through a variety of miracles.
God told Ezekiel to prophesy against Gog, the chief prince of the multitudinous host that would come down against Israel. Ezekiel was facing north, signifying that, generally speaking, the peoples comprising the forces of Gog would come from that quarter. Gog is the leading character from the land of Magog, which is Russia. In the homeland of Russia are Meshech (an ancient name for Moscow) and Tubal (Tubalesque formerly, now Leningrad). Notice that the four names, all places in the Russian homeland, are grouped together: Gog, Magog, Meshech, and Tubal. In the USSR, an abbreviation for the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (plural), are some discontented republics who want their autonomy. [Note: As of June 1999, there are still republics, even though the union no longer formally exists.]
Chapter 30 of Jeremiah contains much End Time information. This is a verse by verse study on the entire chapter in the book of Jeremiah
The owner of a bed and breakfast in the Austrian town of Serfaus refused earlier this month to book rooms to a family because they were Jews.
An Austrian Jew, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he has received threatening e-mails from neo-Nazis, told The Jerusalem Post on Tuesday that Irmgard Monz, the owner of Haus Sonnenhof, a guest house in the Austrian state of Tyrol, wrote in an e-mail to the family that she is “not renting to Jews because of bad experiences.”
The lampstand beautifully symbolizes Christ as the hope of our fallen race. It stood where there was no other light. Christ is the light of life. It had seven branches typifying perfection, or as seven is a symbol of that which is complete and entire, it represents Christ as the embodiment of light, not only the truth, but the whole truth, the fullness of God.
We are learning that while God could have spoken to the world with force and power, as represented by the wind and earthquake and the fire, yet all of these would not have expressed to the world the Lord’s real character. To know the Lord they must be permitted to hear the still small voice—the voice of truth, the voice of love, the voice of wisdom. Moreover, we see that the Lord is about to bring upon the world of mankind just such experiences as might be symbolized by these matters displayed to Elijah. The strong winds of war are to be let loose upon the world—indeed quite probably they are already being let loose. The effect will be the rending and tearing of earth, society, the nations. Then will follow a great earthquake, symbolical—a revolution—referred to in Revelation as so mighty an earthquake as had never before been known amongst men. (Revelation 16:18) It will be a revolution which will affect all the governments of the world, socially, politically, financially and ecclesiastically. Following this will come the fire— symbolical fire that will symbolically consume the earth, consume society. “The elements [society] shall melt with fervent heat, the earth [society] also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.” Such is the symbolical description given by the Apostle Peter.
