  1. not all sacrifices picture Jesus, but there are a few obvious ones:

    The passover lamb slain on the 14th of Nisan definitely pictures Jesus and His sacrificial slaying.

    The bullock as the sin offering on the day of atonement also pictures Jesus. The bullock was to atone for Aaron and his house – the priest class, and Jesus’ blood gets applied to the priest class first – the church/His bride. Once the bullock is slain and its blood sprinkled on the mercy seat, then the Lord’s goat goes thru the same process. The slaying of the goat pictures the sacrifice of the followers of Jesus and this is to make atonement for the people.
