Why do Christians concentrate more on the here and now not the future?

Not really sure what the questioner had in mind with this question, so we hope was are able to give a full answer.

The Lord says “to him that overcometh will I…” give the crown of life, grant to sit in my throne, give a new name, won’t be hurt of the second death, etc.

There is also a saying, sow a thought, reap an action , sow an action, reap a habit, sow a habit reap a character, sow a character, reap a destiny.

When we give our lives to the Lord, we enter the “School of Christ.” We are Kings and Priests in training, and if we learn the lessons the Lord has for us today, then we graduate, by actually being born of the spirit (i.e. this mortal puts on immortality at death, we are changed in the twinkling of an eye).

So unless we develope the character of Christ-likeness in the here and now, there is no future!
