Did King David go to heaven?

No.

Acts 2:29  Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

Here Peter tells his audiance that King David is still in his sepulchre where they put in a thousand years earlier. The rest of this answer is the same as the answer about Boaz. So please see the question  Was Boaz a born-again Christian? by clicking here.

  1. Death throughout old testament and new refers to “hell” (grave) and Jesus Himself spoke of death as a sleep from which His Voice will wake up those sleeping there. Scripture says righteous dead are raised at the second coming of Jesus and those remaining alive will also be caught up with them in the air, all these changed and to remain with Jesus – and the unrighteous dead will remain in their graves, and those living will be destroyed with the brightness of Jesus’ Coming, and these will not live again until a thousand years later when Jesus returns a third time, and they will be judged. So many texts its astonishing – and yes, David remains in grave until Jesus comes, just as Daniel, Abraham and (number no man can number) others – and will then be raised to eternal life (death where is thy sting, grave where is thy victory?). Wonderful promise!!

  2. I agree with the first sentence of the comment above, but thereafter you seem to indicate that you believe that everyone on earth will be gone to heaven (the righteous) or asleep in death (the wicked) until the thousand years are over. I then get the idea that you think the wicked will be resurrected to be judged and then they will be killed again–the second death found in Rev. 20:14. If that what you are saying, it doesn’t make sense to me.

II Thess. 2:8-10 reads, “And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming [presence]. Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” Since the word Wicked in verse 8 is capitalized, it stands for a single entity, which in this case is the Anti-Christ system under the control of Satan, which will deceive the world with “all power and signs and lying wonders.” This system will be destroyed in the near future during the Time of Trouble (Dan. 12:1), which will be hundreds of years before Satan is destroyed. We are told that Satan will be bound while the dead are raised and re-educated under God’s laws in Christ’s Kingdom on earth (Acts 3:19-21). This is the initial point of living and reigning with Christ (Rev. 5:10; 20:6), which will be the priviledge of the 144,000 saints (Psa. 149:5-9), who assist in the restoration of earth to its former Paradise condition which Jesus promised the thief on the cross ,”Today I’m telling you, you will be with me in Paradise.” (my paraphrase).

Satan is a powerful invisible spiritual being who will be bound by Christ (Rev. 20:2) for the duration of the restitution period, so that mankind will have the best possible chance to walk up the highway of holiness (Isa. 35:8). Satan will be destroyed (Isa. 14:12-17) at the end of The Millennium (a thousand year period) after he is loosed for a Little Season (Rev. 20:3) for the final test upon the world of mankind. The disobedient will go into Second Death (oblivion) and the obedient will have everlasting life in Paradise restored on Earth (Isaiah 35)–what Adam lost (I Cor. 15:16-26).
