Yesterday I was at a friend's house and she was reading (outloud) her Bible Reading for the day, and she was reading about Israel in the wilderness. They had to pick up the manna for 6 days. Usually none could remain for the next day, but on the 6th, they had to pick enough for the Sabbath day also. But some didn't do that and then came out on the Sabbath and couldn't get any food.
Couple things came to mind while she was reading.
1) These ones that came out expecting to get food when they were explicitly told that they had to store up the day before, but they were sort of sleepy and inactive in obeying the warning. Kind of reminds me of the "Foolish Virgins", they didn't take the extra oil
a) Manna–Word of God, food for strength
b) Oil–Holy Spirit
2) Pray that your flight be not on the Sabbath.
Could the Sabbath be the same as the "dark night" when no one can work?
I think the setting of the Manna week, is specially the Harvest (end of the Age), and I think as the Gospel Age is broken into 7 stages, perhaps the Harvest is also (in the harvest we have the 7 plagues) I personally think 6 have been poured out. And I also think we are in the 6th stage of the Harvest.
This kind of stuff gets me excited, to me it is like getting another piece of the "God's Plan" puzzle together. (we get a 5 million pc puzzle, The only picture we get is of the border, an outline of the plan)
I would appreciate any feed back on this to help me keep my feet on the ground
