Holy Incense

Sermon: God gave Israel a recipe for a special incense that was only to be used in the Tabernacle. The penalty for making this for private use or curiosity was death! What was so special about this incense that God wanted it all for Himself? We are given four ingredients: stacte, onycha, galbanum; and frankincense. All four are a resin or gum, and all four involve the “bleeding” or “wounding” of the plant, something of a sacrifice, and all four have very special spiritual significance for the Christian. Find out the spiritual meanings of these “sweet perfumes” that the Lord is pleased with and wants offered to Him.
